ORIGINS & legend
One of my earliest collages of memories is of a delicate parchment place mat at The Oriental East, my dad’s favorite Chinese restaurant (we would frequent The Oriental East at least once a week back then). The place mat had the typical Chinese zodiac, some adjectives attributed to each, and corresponding years. I remember my dad proclaiming proudly, “I’m a dragon.” I looked down at the place mat as saw that I was a horse. “Cool”, was the only thought I had about it at the time. I was about 3 years old.

Astrology has always been a part of my life in some shape or form, just kind of floating there. A separate form of classification and categorization, but never really applied to my everyday existence and life. Well not until 2009, maybe the intrigue grew from being in cold Pittsburgh, or maybe it arose from all of the inexplicably strange occurrences that happened to me there. Pittsburgh never really “seemed real”. It always felt like a movie set. Parts and players moved like clockwork given that I believed they would. So, I decided then to “really see what this astrology sh*t was all about. After all, Mr. B. did tell us in HS that his mom told him, ‘Why wouldn’t God communicate with us through the biggest screen we have, the sky?’” NOW WITH OVER A DECADE OF STUDY IN THE FIELD OF ASTROLOGY, NUMEROLOGY, METAPHYSICS, WHOLISTIC WELLNESS AND TWIN FLAME UNIONS, I HAVE REACHED MASTERY.

another profound experience in PITTSBURGH happened, a chocolate truffle. the most visually appealing cocoa powdered palm sized mound crafted in amsterdam. With its perfectly tempered chocolate casing that gleamed like a miyazaki animated food scene, and its velvety smooth milk chocolate ganache, this chocolate truffle held the most undetected heroic dose of magical fungal infusion. You couldn’t taste it, at all. the appreHension and fear that typically accompanies the taste of such consumptions was completely elimInated. My then diagnosed clinical depressive and undiagnosed AuTISTIC brain (I WAS OFFICIALLY DIAGNOSED WITH AUTISM IN APRIL OF 2023) was Able to heal and correct itself with the help of that one absolutely scrumptious, stunning and potent little chocolate truffle. Kinrui WAS inspired by that lone healing truffle and was created to offer that same BEAUTIFUL, INSIGHTFUL, HEALING and restorative Experience to others.
